Just when I thought my body had recovered from a busy summer and wedding last weekend, we left for another wedding this weekend. Some of you may know our dear friends Kyle Santiago and Rachel Bach. Well, they are the soon-to-be newlyweds this weekend! WOOHOO! We are so excited for them to them! We will be back late Saturday night in time for the Sunday worship service. A few of the Concord Corps will be there too. Pics will be posted shortly after.
I always get a lot out of Jim's articles as I have a chance to preview them as I prepare the newsletters. I have no doubt that you'll get something out of this one as well. Personality Types A and B are the subjects at hand. I think I'm a mix between both. So does that make me an A- or B+?
I believe officership and parenthood have made me more Type A, but I believe my true nature to be Type B.
But through it all, listening and waiting on God is always a challenge. Plan to a degree, but having the wisdom and discernment as to "when" God is speaking and when he gives you the green light to "go" or to adjust your plans so that you fit into His plans is faith in practice.
Let this be a little plug for the Bible study that I'll be leading in a couple of weeks' time:
"Are you living by faith? Each of us must daily choose between giving in to the world’s pressure to trust in ourselves or yielding control of our lives to God. While following God’s directions when we don’t see immediate results can be difficult, the payoff will always be tremendous."
Our study will correspond with the book, Kingdom Heroes: Building a Strong Faith that Endures by Tony Evans. Men and women are welcome to attend. If you are interested, you can purchase the workbook from Amazon.
See you Sunday - for Baby Mabel's Dedication! :)
